FRUSTRATIE
Deze video-installatie onderzoekt het gevoel van frustratie en hoe emoties zich opstapelen tot ze niet meer te dragen zijn. Voor mij is frustratie een rollercoaster van irritatie, woede, verdriet en schaamte die elkaar in hoog tempo opvolgen en zich ophopen tot een uitbarsting onvermijdelijk wordt.
Dat innerlijke proces heb ik vertaald naar een abstracte video-installatie waarin kleur en geluid de verschillende fases van frustratie zichtbaar en hoorbaar maken: de spanning die groeit, de explosie van emoties en de leegte die daarna overblijft.
FRUSTRATION
This video-installation explores the feeling of frustration and how emotions can build up until they become unbearable. For me, frustration is a rollercoaster of irritation, anger, sadness, and shame, rapidly following one another and piling up until an outburst becomes inevitable.
I have translated this inner process into an abstract video-installation, in which color and sound make the different phases of frustration visible and audible; the growing tension, the explosion of emotions, and the emptiness that follows.
